3. General daily tidying-up and putting things away

5. Cleaning out the freezer

1. Scooping the cat litter
2. Cleaning the bathroom counter
3. Dusting
4. Doing the dishes
5. Making my bed

Five chores I do with slightly less regularity and hate:
1. Changing the litter box
2. Cleaning the toilet
3. Anything to do with floor maintenance (sweeping, vacuuming, mopping)
4. Taking out the garbage
5. Cleaning out the fridge

1. Sports. (Except for baseball.)
2. Metal. (Except for the stuff Michael tells me about, that he thinks I would like.)
3. Macaroni and cheese. (Except for the homemade kind my mom made when I was a kid, and PC White Cheddar Macaroni and Cheese when it's made with pesto instead of butter which is so delicious I can't even tell you and KD does not even deserve to share a shelf with it!)
4. Ketchup. (Except for the homemade kind my Grandmere used to make that when I had some similar to it at Cafe Diana a few years ago it made me weep a little bit, and ketchup chips.)
5. Hour-long medical procedural dramas. (And I was going to say except for House but I'm kind of over House now, and by kind of I mean a lot which is really too bad because Hugh Laurie is such a gem.)

1. To cook more delicious food for myself at home.
2. To challenge myself by writing more, and making that writing something meaningful.
3. To be cuddled and nurtured and to learn to ask when I need that to happen.
4. To remember to pay all my bills on time and be a responsible adult.
5. To be less lazy! (See all of the above.)

1. How is it that I am finally getting around to watching this show? 
2. I love love love the wardrobe, of course.
3. The misogyny is a little disturbing but the bad parenting makes me laugh out loud! (That scene in the second episode where the little kid is running around with a drycleaning bag over her head and she catches it because the clothes might be on the floor? PRICELESS.)
4. I WANT TO SMOKE A MILLION CIGARETTES WHEN I WATCH IT.
5. I also want to drink a lot more. And maybe do more writing.

ADDENDUM: Also, can we talk about just how hotttttt Jon Hamm is??? RIDICULOUS.

1. There is a ridiculous amount of kissing and potential kissing in my life right now, but mostly there is just cuddling and cuddling is just as nice.
2. Noah is EXPLODING WITH LOVE more and more every day. More and more he is becoming The Best Cat.
3. My band is still really adorable and we are playing at the Clocktower on November 21st with Cold Coffee and Salty Boots. We are learning a new cover song and it is going to MINDFREAK YOU.
4. I HAVE REALLY BEEN YELLING A LOT BECAUSE EVERYTHING IS AWESOME.
5. I just had a fried egg sandwich on dark rye bread with curry mayo and a pickle and I wish I was eating another one RIGHT NOW.

1. I keep a one sentence journal. Every day I make myself write one sentence in it. Sometimes I write more, sometimes one sentence is a struggle.
2. One of my favourite places to be is in my big, tall bed.
3. I love my family more than I tell them.
4. Food is one of my favourite things. I am lucky to have bandmates who share this passion for eating.
5. I have started to make my own luck. 

1. Cleaning my apartment.

Our first show is today at Irene's. We're playing the open stage. It runs between three and six. I don't know when in there we are playing. But it would be super if you would come! 

If you are going to wear your teeny-tiny short skirts this year, either:

a) accept that your skirt is short, and that you might be flashing your bum at people (pretty panties helps with this); or,
b) don't wear such short skirts.

I am tired of seeing you tug your skirt down self-consciously in back. It takes away from your cuteness.

1. I like to sit on my balcony. I like to put on records and Christmas lights while I'm out there.
2. My cell plays the theme song to Jeeves & Wooster when it rings. Every once in a while (but not often) it rings and someone near me goes, "Hey!" I think that's cool.
3. I am on vacation. Call/text/e-mail/message/whatever me if you want to do something between now and July 5th.
4. For some reason, I always seem to think it's a good idea to organize my bookshelves when it's really hot out.
5. I like to sleep until I wake up.

5. Generally just screw around and waste time

Last night Michael and I saluted the beginning of the summer season with drinks on the patio at the Dom. Hell yeah. My roommate showed up a little later.  It was nifty.

Two is a magic number.

On my way to work I saw an orange box from the company Booth Ranches.

I read "Booty Rancher".

And I thought, "I want that job!"

1. Forgetting my laptop on the balcony.

4. Laughing my ass off at hipsters at Pancho Villa who were all, "Let's sit on the patio! Patio!" until they got caught in the rainstorm like jerks.
